On Valentine's Day Landon and Curtis spoiled me with roses, cotton candy, popcorn, Turtles chocolates, and this beautiful card decorated by Landon himself (with a little help from daddy). I was a very lucky girl this Valentine's Day. Curtis received a bag full of goodies from Landon and I. We stuffed it with candy, beef jerky, sparkling grape juice, and a movie. Landon got a bouquet of lollipops from his daddy and mommy. Our day was full of love!!!

Landon and Gracie (Jan/Feb 2010)
(This is my sister's dog, Toby. Gracie thinks it's her baby and she calls him "TeBe." She carries this dog around like a purse and it is hilarious to watch him try to run for his life from her!)
A Last Minute Trip to Florida
After Christmas I started getting a cold. It turned into the cold that wouldn't go away. My doctor had put me on Amoxicillin, then a Z-Pak, then Augmentin. Nothing was making this "cold" go away. I was having a hard time breathing and coughing is an understatement; I was hacking my lungs up. I felt like death and sounded like it, too. I had a follow-up appointment the last week in January (Yes, it had been a month of sickness!) to see if my lungs had cleared and they hadn't. The doctor then told me that my nasty cold had turned into a bad case of pneumonia and because I was pregnant there wasn't much they could do but put me on bed rest with oxygen. I just wanted to fall apart. How am I supposed to be on bed rest with a toddler running around?? It's not possible!!! I decided that I would go to Florida and let my family take care of Landon and I would get my bed rest. It was amazing!! I felt bad because I literally slept 90% of my time there. It was very hot and humid, but that was good for me because the cold, dry air in Utah was making it harder for me to breath. I just want to say thank you to my parents for being so helpful at the last minute! I can report a clean bill of health now. I am still on inhalers to help me when the air gets really cold and dry, but other than that I'm all clear!
Vaseline Nightmare!!!!!
It's always been a joke in my family that my brother (Don) was destined to be a genius because as a baby he popped the top to the Vaseline jar off. Well, Landon must be the next Einstein because he not only popped off the top to the Vaseline jar, he put most of its contents in his hair!!!! It was a nightmare for Curtis and I to wash out. We first started washing his hair with baby shampoo, then our shampoo, then liquid hand soap, and finally with dish washing liquid soap. After a billion washes we still hadn't gotten all of the "goop" out, but Landon's scalp was so red I told Curtis that if we scrubbed anymore it was probably going to bleed! Don't worry we didn't hurt him. He thought it was fun to be in the bath for over an hour!!! The next morning it was still so greasy, but after speaking with my mom she suggested we try baking soda and believe it or not it worked! I was grateful because I thought I was going to have to buzz his hair off! I guess this officially marks the beginning of the "terrible two's." Wish us luck!!!

Christmas Pictures 2009

While I was with my family in Ohio we took Landon and Gracie to get their Christmas pictures. They turned out really cute.... Then after we finished taking the professional pictures we thought we would take them to meet Santa Claus.... The picture speaks for itself!!! I could not stop laughing! I know the other parents in line were thinking that we were bad parents and torturing our kids, but it was even funnier when Santa decided to pull the same face!!!! It was a priceless picture and my mom decided to put it in her Christmas cards. I love memories that will last forever!!!Friday, February 12, 2010
Addison Leigh Petersen Due: May 6, 2010
This picture looks just like Landon. He sleeps just like this!
(Feet)
(I'm a Girl!!)
(This one is sweet, but kind of weird...This is her holding the umbilical cord like a purse strap!)I had these 4-D sonogram pictures done while we were in Ohio because our sweet little baby wouldn't give us a full "spread eagle" view of the "goods" at the doctor's office. As you all can see through these pictures.....It's a GIRL!!!!! Curtis and I couldn't stop smiling when we found out. I guess since I had a boy first I had been calling this baby a "he" or "him" and my mom thought it was my "intuition" telling me that it was a boy. Old wife's tale gone sour.....Curtis and I are naming her Addison Leigh. My due date is May 6, but my doctor is allowing me to be induced the last week in April. I can't wait to meet this precious little girl. She already has been so different than Landon (in womb)! I'm not 100% sure this will be our last addition to our little family, only time will tell. We are so blessed to have Landon and soon-to-have Addison. I'll have the best of both worlds. I'm not sure I could ask for more!!!!
