Woody and Repunzel

Landon and Gracie have a mind of their own... They just randomly decided that it was going to be dress up night. I could not stop laughing at them. Landon kept such a serious face and quoting Woody from Toy Story.  Gracie swayed back and forth telling us she a beautiful princess with very long hair.
"Are you talking to me 'Ebill Docker Porkshop'?"
 "Who you cawin busser?"
(MY FAVORITE...) "Reach fur da sky!"
 "I'm serrif Woody. "
"Hey mom I shoot you, but I dust kiddin'."
"Aunt Ash, loot at my hair. It's so beautiful. "
"Dis town ant big enuff for da two of us."
(These ones he was just making scary faces and showing his muscles.)

"Aunt Ash look at my princess dress. It's a Repunzel princess dress. And I let my long hair down for my prince to rescue me."

Super Siblings

Santa brought these two "super" kids some hero capes for Christmas and they sure do love them! They wear them everywhere and they are always racing in them...
Landon says they are "Stuper Wandin and Stuper Baby."

In a trance...

I got them a DVD of Disney sing-along-songs. They never moved, talked, or sang while watching them. I was shocked I thought they'd be up dancing and singing, but it never happened....

Don's New Pet

I know, no one in their right mind would have a gator for a pet. That's why it's Little Don's. ;)
I don't know where he found it, but he says he is keeping it. Let's see if it eats him in 10 years...

Happy Girl

 She's just so stinkin' cute!

As she is looking at herself in the oven door she said , "Daddy watch. Addi wook daddy."

Addison just makes me smile. She is so happy and so funny! She makes me laugh all the time and I enjoy every minute with her!

Landon is a sunbeam!

This is Landon's sunbeam class. The other kids are Jacob, Lane, and Layton (all his cousins...) Their teacher's name is Sister Rose and she is awesome with them. She told me after church that Landon knows alot about our Savior. Every question she asked him his answer was always, "Jesus Christ." She said laughing, "It worked about every 10th question."He had a really great first day in Primary. I asked him what his favorite thing in primary was and he said, "I like Scooby snacks." I asssumed Sister Rose had brought some kind of Scooby-Doo snack...

Christmas 2011

Here's the bad news: I did not get any pictures of the kids opening their presents because I thought Curtis was taking pictures. I soon discovered he was just as into opening presents as the kids were. So I took a picture of the toys after they were all opened to show their Christmas toys. I have it all on video, but no pictures :(

Funny story about opening presents:
Landon was intense and excited when he opened his presents. Addison on the other hand, she was just "bla" about it. I made the mistake of putting a candy bar in her stocking. Anyone that knows Addison knows the girl LOVES to eat. ALL she wanted to do was eat that candy bar. I would half way open toys and put them up to her and say, "Oh my gosh Addi! What is it?" and she would show me her candy bar with excitement. I tried everything, but she was focused on the candy bar. I opened all but like 2 or 3 presents... I will NEVER make that mistake again!!

Handsome little Cooper
Landon the Cowboy
Landon and Addison had a great Christmas. They got lots of cool toys (remote control Mater and McQueen, electric racetrack, new Buzz and Woody, kitchen, super hero capes, baby doll, Jesse, Barbie...and much more). For some strange reason Landon's favorite thing this year was his plastic belt that came in his toy gun pack. He wears it EVERYWHERE now. Who would've thought...

Happy Addison (She has a "perma-smile....)
This is Addison with huge "knockers"..... and I am COMPLETELY jealous. She strutted the grapefruits  proudly!

Christmas Eve 2011

Christmas pajamas and Landon's reindeer hat that he thinks Santa is really going to like...

Landon thought it was even funnier when Papa wore the reindeer hat...

Landon and Addison helped to make Santa some cookies and milk. Papa kept stealing Santa's cookies and Landon told me (with his stern face), "You don't put cookies out for Papa. Onwee for Santa Claus and reindeers and elves. Papa half get him cookies at home."

PS: Everyone knows I LOVE crafty projects. Check out the cookie plate. I made it. It's Landon and Addison's foot prints as reindeer!

Hang on tight Baby!

It's not too often that these two get along so when they do I HAVE to document it. They were riding their four wheelers on the deck. Even though they both have their own they insisted on riding together. Landon  kept saying, "Hang on tight Baby! We gunna go stuper fass!"

You better not cry...

Here's how meeting Santa Claus went:

First, while we waited in line they had little things for the kids to play with.

Next, as we rounded the corner you could start to see Santa elves and the kids were getting excited.

Then, Landon spotted him and ran back to me and said, "Mom, Santa is RIGHT there!"

Finally, it was our turn to meet Santa. Landon and Addison ran up to him and they were fine until the elves picked them up to put them on Santa's lap. It was all downhill from there..... Santa kept telling them, "You better not cry...." Ahh, memories!! 3 years in a row we've gotten a crying Santa picture!!!

Woody the CowGIRL

This is Addison being Woody. She loves to do whatever Landon does....and I mean whatever.... On this particular day Landon had changed out of his pajamas and was in his underwear. He put on his Woody hat and played with Buzz. When Addison saw Landon without clothes it was automatically assumed she should be without them, too. Then she put on his other cowboy hat and played with his "church" Buzz (no noise...) and laughed at herself the whole time like, "I'm just like you Landon."

Addison's Invisible Onion Rings

We went to Dairy Queen after school one day and the kids thought their onion rings made them have the funniest faces.... I think Addison's was my favorite. She never held the onion rings to eyes (let's be honest, they never made it past her mouth...) but she would laugh at herself and tell everybody, "Wook me."

Stray Deer

My brother received a call from a neighbor about a doe that had wandered to their house. The neighbor told him that she was very tame and looked to be someone's pet. When he got to their house the doe was wearing a flea collar and dog collar! (Are we in the middle of "Red-neck-ville" or what?) She is very sweet and loves the kids.... So if anyone is missing their pet deer she is happily grazing at Valley View preservation.   (And we love her!)  ;)

Serious Sleepers

My kids mean business when they sleep :)

How firm is your foundation?

This year we continued our gingerbread house tradition, but we invited my brother's family over to do it with us. We started out with an awesome FHE lesson on how we all need a firm foundation to withstand life's tough storms. Then the competition began and my brother was adamant that his was the best and would withstand the wind from the air boat (a super-firm foundation as he put it). I (being wise and so very knowledgeable...) told him my foundation was strong. Maybe not strong enough for those kind of winds, but I was wise enough to be prepared and humble myself for insurance coverage.   :) A little brother-sister rivalry never hurt.... FYI: My house is awesome!

Landon made his own gingerbread house at his preschool and he was so proud of it he didn't even want to eat the candies off of it. He put on the center of the table and it sat there until it was thrown in the trash! He told me it was for Santa Claus to look at and no one could have ANY of it. His teacher helped him make treats for Santa, treats for Santa's reindeer, Christmas cards, and Christmas ornaments. I think he's made more ornaments than I have made in a lifetime, but they are ALL so adorable!
