Nick Oyler invited Landon to his 4th birthday party. It was a "How to Train Your Dragon" theme and the boys loved it. First they made shields that were really cool to color and decorate. (Addison found them pretty tasty!) Next they had cake and ice cream, well Landon just had ice cream because it's his favorite thing ever to eat! When Nick opened his presents Landon started acting like a typical two year old..."No! Mine!" Nick got lots of cool toys and was kind enough to let everyone at his party play with them, too! Happy Birthday Nick!!!

Christmas Cookies
(These were Landon's cookies. I didn't get a picture of Jax's, but he had some good ones!)
During the winter it is really really hard to get all of Landon's energy out because we don't go outside too often. So I asked him what he wanted to do for fun and he said he wanted to make cookies. So we invited Jax over and I let them make their own cookies. They started out being Christmas cookies, but towards the end there were a lot of dinosaur cookies.... Landon was COVERED in flour at one point and Jax seemed fairly clean. I just thought Landon was making a huge mess, but then I watched for a minute and Landon was rolling out dough and cutting the cookies and Jax was just eating the dough. For the last bit of dough I told them to make a special cookie and we would give it to their daddy's. Landon then cut out an airplane and Jax handed me a ball of dough and said he didn't want to cook his. I laughed so hard. I don't know how much cookie dough he ate, but I hope he didn't get a belly ache later that evening.... These boys are so much fun together (when they're getting along).
Happy 4th Anniversary
December 2nd was our 4 year anniversary. It seems like it's been so much longer, but when you're in love with your best friend who cares! I just wanted to let Curtis know how much I love him. He's very patient with me and tries hard to be the best husband. He works very hard and sometimes I tend to nag him about being gone all the time, but he knows that I love him! On our anniversary we both worked until 7pm (Ugh!) so after work he took me to the Chef's Table and it was SO good! I think Curtis was a bit uncomfortable, but he knew that's where I wanted to go and he put on a smile and ended up really liking the food! Curtis is not only a wonderful husband, but he is the best dad ever! He is a "hands on" dad and loves to take Landon wherever he goes when he can (Addison is still too young, but some day...) In return Landon is always wanting to be with his daddy. I love being with Curtis. His personality keeps me laughing. I know we've got many good years to come! I love you Curtis!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
This year for Thanksgiving we stayed in Utah. Curtis wanted to do something special as a family so we prepared a Thanksgiving feast. We attended lunch at the Oyler home and it was all delicious. We saved our feast for dinner that night. Curtis and Landon (well mostly Curtis) prepared the turkey and I made casseroles and desserts (with Addison watching of course). It was a great Thanksgiving feast. This Thanksgiving I am grateful for a WONDERFUL husband who loves his family so much and for two beautiful, happy and healthy babes. I'm grateful for the gospel and how it has touched and changed our lives. I'm grateful for family that loves us and for our friends that are as close to us as family, for Curtis's job and the opportunity he has to work with his best friends, and for more years to come with my beautiful family. Even though Thanksgiving was great with our little family I hope next year we get to see one of our families!!!
Addison at 7 Months (November 2010)
Addison is now 7 months. She is sitting up really well now. I put her in the walker now and she scoots it, but doesn't really travel very well in it. She loves for Landon to crawl under the walker and play with her. She is now starting to eat solids and I'm loving it. She is still a little picky at what she'll eat, but at least I can start feeding her off my plate (it makes it so much easier).... She is still as happy as she has always been. She gets up on all fours but doesn't go anywhere. I keep watching for some teeth to pop through, but nothing so far. As much as she chews on everything, I think they are well on their way. She has both Curtis and I wrapped around her little fingers and we adore her. She is a special little girl and has a way of brightening our days. Landon and Addison have become good little buddies!!!
Landon's First Fondue Dinner
I am totally in love with The Melting Pot, but it's not always convenient to go. So for my birthday my mom got me some fondue pots like hers. While she was here we decided to have a fondue dinner and let Landon try it, too. He loved it. He made quite the mess, but I didn't mind because he was having so much fun. We had Wisconsin cheddar cheese and white chocolate with raspberry fondue with all of the "fixings." It was DELICIOUS! Can't wait to do it again! Doesn't Landon's plate make you hungry?? :)
So You Think You Can Dance?
If there's one thing Landon is good at it's dancing. He's always dancing! I thought I would share these videos that him and Jax were "breaking it down." Landon is way more into dancing than Jax, but it was cute to watch them both copy the music video. Every time I watch this video I laugh so hard!!!
Happy Halloween
This year our family was the characters of Toy Story. We went all out, even Curtis. I was very surprised that Curtis actually dressed up. What a good dad he is!! Landon was loving that his daddy was Buzz! My mom was in town visiting and we made her "Andy's mom." It was a pretty yuck Halloween. The weather was freezing and it was raining. Curtis and Tim took the boys trick or treating around the neighborhood on the ranger. They came back with tons of candy and Landon got sick later that evening. My mom and I made mine and Landon's costume. It was a lot of fun! During the day Curtis and Landon carved pumpkins together. They turned out super cute! Landon was very proud of his. We weren't able to keep a candle in it long because Landon kept blowing out because he said it was "hurting his punkin." My mind is already flowing with ideas for our family next year! Right now I'm in love with the Flinstones, but that could change before next Halloween....
