Addison at 3 Weeks

Addison is now 3 weeks old and growing like a weed! A week ago her clothes were still very large on her. Now they are fitting just right! She is a very sweet baby. She has gotten spoiled and loves to be held, but I'm not complaining because I love to hold her. She is a good sleeper and a very good eater. At her 2 week appointment she weight 6lbs 2oz. I give her a few more weeks and she'll have some "chub" on her. She has started to be much more attentive and I love to talk to her after she wakes up. He eyes are starting to lighten and I am hoping that they stay as blue as they are right now. She still looks like Landon with a bow! Landon loves to hold his baby sister. I love to see him loving her. He had a rough start adjusting to her, but he has become the best big brother.

More Babies at the Petersen Home!!!!

It has been a funny sight to watch the looks that this wreath gets as people walk up to my house. When I was at the hospital delivering my baby a bird built a nest on my front door wreath and laid four eggs. I didn't realize it until I answered my front door a few days later....On one hand I was really frustrated because I had just purchased the wreath and was ready to change it out with another, but on the other I couldn't take away the bird's nest and possibly her eggs wouldn't be able to hatch. So I have left it up on my door simply because I am waiting for these eggs to hatch. (Did I mention it is taking FOREVER!!!) Wish me luck with the birth of these birds. I will have a heart attack if they learn to fly and fly into my house!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's to me!!! I have the best two kids and lots of love surrounding me from them. What more could I ask for?? I love my kids more and more everyday. I live to hear their laugh and see their smiles. I hope to be half the mom that my mom was for me! Happy Mother's Day to my mom who I love dearly! My mom is my best friend and I hope to one day have the same relationship with my daughter!!!

Addison Meets Family in Florida

My dad took Landon riding on the four wheeler and came to bring him to the house to take a nap but Landon decided to take a nap on the four wheeler. Too funny!!!

I took the kids to Florida while Curtis was out of town for work. We had a great time and the weather was perfect. We visited lots of family and introduced Addison to them all.

Thank You Mom and Dad

I just wanted to say thank you again to my both of my parents. My mom was able to come help me after I delivered Addison. When she is here I am so blessed because she takes care of all my household chores! (So much better than I ever could!) She is the best mom I could ever ask for and I miss her terribly when we're not together. She is such a good mother to me and my siblings. She is an even better Nana to her grandchildren. She and my dad helped Curtis do some spring cleaning while they were here.
I would also like to say thank you to my dad who also came when Addison was born. He pretty much built us a new fence around our house and it looks amazing!!! I was very impressed! He worked very hard everyday....ALL day. I know that it was probably not what he had in mind to do when he came, but he never complained. He is the best dad I could ever ask for and I miss him terribly, too. I know he misses me, but he misses my kids even more. Landon lights up when he sees my dad. Papa takes Landon everywhere when they're together and always wants him to come back to see him sooner. My dad is a good man with a good heart.
Thanks mom and dad! Curtis and I can't thank you enough for EVERYTHING! Love you SO SO much!!!!

Landon 2nd Birthday!!!!

Landon turned 2 on May 5th. Time has really flown by! He just gets cuter and cuter everyday; not just in looks but in attitude as well. He has definitely come to the "terrible two" stage in full blast! Curtis and I have definitely earned ourselves a few gray hairs! Even though Landon is very, very busy I still love this stage that he is in right now.
He has started to talk more and more; and you can actually put together what he trying say now! My favorite thing he says is when we put him in his bed at night he kisses us and say, "Bye. Love you. Bye." (As he waves to us walking out of his room.)
Landon loves animals, anything with a steering wheel, puzzles, and to play outside (either jumping on the trampoline or swinging). For his birthday Curtis and I decided to get him a four wheeler. I think we under estimated how much he would love it....he will ride on the four wheeler until the battery has died and then he just pretend that he riding for hours!!! It's so cute to see how excited he gets when he sees his four wheeler in our garage.
My brother, Don, got Landon a T-ball set for Christmas and since then Landon has come to love to hit the ball. He has a bit of a lazy streak because he will only play if you get the ball for him. However, we are working on playing "outfield."
Toy Story has become Landon's favorite movie. Buzz Lightyear is his favorite character. For his birthday Nana Wainwright got him a Buzz that has a laser and he takes it everywhere. He used to take Gerry (his giraffe) everywhere, now it's Buzz except for bedtime. He also got two really cool puzzles from the Petersen grandparents that he really loves. One is a train and it makes cool train noises when you put all the pieces together and the other is door locks that he will sit and try to undo forever! Thanks for all the cool birthday presents!
I love to watch Landon grow and see all the changes in his personality. He makes me smile everyday. I love him more and more everyday. He has become the best big brother to Addison. He now loves to hold her and kiss her. He is very good about getting her the pacifier. I have started to let me help me with her a lot more (bottle feeding, diaper changes, bath time) and he gets really excited to know he's my helper.

Curtis and I truly have been very blessed with Landon. He brings joy to our lives everyday. I hate to admit it, but he is a daddy's boy for sure. One day that will change, but for now I love to see the happiness in Curtis's eyes when he plays with Landon.

Happy 2nd Birthday Landon!!!!! We love you very much!
