Bath Fun

I love to see bath pics of babies. They're always so happy. My Addison is no exception. She loves a bath and she splashes as big as she can! She is such a happy baby and I love her big smile that is literally always on her face!

Happy Valentine's Day

This year for Valentine's Day I had Landon and Addison color their daddy a card and make him some special candy. ( Yes I took pics, but somehow they were deleted.) I managed to get some cute pics of my babes in their Valentine outfits (and they actually got along). That evening Curtis and I went to the Cheesecake Factory with Tim and Wendi. It was delicious as always. Curtis bought me some new running shoes and Itunes gift card. I got Curtis a punching bag. (He actually purchased it and I said, "Oh good you got your Valentine's present.") We made sure to tell our kids and each other how much we love one another and that always makes for a special day of love! I love Curtis and  my kids more than words can describe. I'm surrounded by so much love and I love my life!

Frustrating Bliss

Curtis and I are currently potty-training Landon. It's actually been very good...We're over the hard part of 5 accidents a day. He's actually been almost 5 whole days without any accidents (a mother's dream)!!! He is also in a "stage" right now that I am so frustrated with. He's mean to EVERYONE... especially Addison, he yells and hits me, he mistreats everything (toys, books, clothes). He does this all as if it's no big deal if he gets into trouble or not... I've found myself twice in one week basically hiding in my room crying because I don't know how to make him behave and I am tired of trying. The worst day I've had with Landon is the day he kicked his sister in the face. He was walking towards her saying, "Hi baby. I go watch Diego"....(Kick).... Yes, he was in his room for a long time, even longer when he refused to tell Addison he was sorry, then even longer for wetting his pants! Just when I think I'm in a never-ending-battle, there comes days like this one when this sweet little boy brings me the camera and tells me I look pretty and he wants to take a picture with me. Melts my heart! Someday I will look back at the bad days I've had and I will laugh, but no matter how bad or mean Landon is right now I know he is a good boy and I love him so much more everyday!

Florida (January 2011)

While in Florida, my niece Gracie told stories to Landon about monsters and he was really scared. So the only i knew to try to tell him that monsters weren't real was to put on these sill teeth and show him that if he had on the teeth he looked like a monster, but it was really still just Landon. He somewhat understood, but the teeth became a prop for him and Uncle Don to put on a comedy act...

Look at ALL the love in these photos! I love when we're all together!

This what Landon looked forward to everyday. He was always wanting to ride the "buggy" with his Papa. Papa is the coolest because he actually lets Landon drive!

This was an evening from you know where..... All of the kids were wrestling with Don and playing rough. The oldest girl in the photos is Marie Addison. She was hunting on my dad's farm with her dad. Landon accidentally hit her just above her eye brow with a silver tea tray and it sliced open..... Talk about feeling 2 inches tall! She was very brave and went to the emergency room where they gave her 7 stitches! Landon felt very bad so we went and filled her a bag full of goodies to cheer her up. According to her dad the goody bag helped her forget all about the wound!

Landon wanted everyone to wear the Woody hat and say,"Howdy partner." The dogs were especially enthused to play along...

Opening Christmas presents with the family at Nanny and Poppy Smith's house.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas this year was so much fun! We wrote Santa Claus a letter and asked him to come to our house a little earlier than usual because we were traveling to Florida. Since Landon had been good all year (according to Landon) Santa Claus obliged. Christmas morning we had a last watching Landon open all his presents with so much excitement. Every thing he opened he wanted to play with it right then and then we would have to make him open another present and then that new toy would be his favorite. It was hilarious to hear him keep saying, "My new toy....Open it now daddy, please." It was Addison's first Christmas and she's still too young to understand everything about opening presents and  such, but she really enjoyed eating every thing with in arms reach. I would try to start opening a present thinking she would get the hang of it but she just ripped the paper then stuck in her mouth! So eventually Landon "helped"her open them. This year Landon asked Santa Claus specifically for a "buggy" (Ranger). He loves to ride on his papa's buggy and he wanted to have one at "Landon's house." Santa Claus left Landon a letter taped to our door telling Landon of a really big surprise in the garage. He hurried to get some warm clothes on and ran outside to find his very own "buggy." He played on it for hours. He would drive around, stop, get the shovel and start shovelling snow. He loves it! I think his favorite thing this year was the shovel on the "buggy." Addison's favorite thing this Christmas was her first baby doll stroller. She can't quite walk yet, but she sits and scoots it along with her. As for Mommy and Daddy, Christmas was great! Santa got Mommy an Ipod touch that she'd been good for all year :) Santa got Daddy new TVs for his truck, a new shaver, Blu-Ray player, and Net Flix. Santa Claus was very good to our family this year! Hopefully we can all be very good this year and have another amazing Christmas!

Landon's Gingerbread Train

Curtis and Landon decided to decorate a gingerbread house together this year. However, when choosing which one he wanted it was an obvious decision when he spotted the "tain." He loves trains and it made him so happy to be able to decorate it. As usual more candy was eaten than decorated with (and frosting), but for a 2-year-old I think he did a great job (with a little bit of help from daddy).

Christmas with the Oylers 2010

(Addison was more interested in eating her presents.)

(Yes, Curtis took the pics of Wendi and I.....He actually thought that he got "good ones.")

(Do we have the cutest kids or what?!?!)

(The millionth time might be a charm! I think having a good family photo is the most difficult task!)

We continued the tradition of a gift exchange with Oylers. Landon and Jax understand the whole gift opening thing, but Addison and Tyce not so much..... However, with a little bit of help from the older kiddos all the presents torn into with much excitement! Everyone got awesome gifts and had a good time! Can't wait to do it again next year!

Family Home Evening....Gone Wrong!

We were invited to go to the live nativity scene in Alpine with the Oylers. People in my ward told me how awesome it is and that our kids will absolutely love it..... I never thought every one else would want to take their families there, too! When we got to Alpine the line was so long and the wait was going to be 2.5 hours long. On a positive note it wasn't too cold, but we still didn't want to wait that long. Curtis and I decided to go to the ice cream parlor at Thanksgiving Point (Landon's favorite food is ice cream). We had a good time and the ice cream was amazing!!!
