So excited waiting to go inside the doors!
This year when the circus came to Salt Lake City we all decided that it would be fun to take the kids. We thought when we got there early that the kids would meet the animals and maybe get to pet them or something, but that didn't happen. However, we found the concession stand!!!! Tasty treats kept us occupied while we waited for the show to begin. Before the show they were playing Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA" and Landon was "jookin"!! When the show started the boys were entranced...It was a very cool show. There were all kinds of animals, people dancing and doing acrobats. I loved to see how the animals were trained to do certain things (the tigers and elephants AMAZED me). Landon really like when they rode motorcycles in the ring. There was lots of cool stuff for the boys to see. I felt bad for the babies because the show was like more than 2 hours long. However, I do believe we will be returning to the circus next year!

Our family loves all animals but especially the elephants. We learned one of the qualities that set elephants apart as animals and evoke a sense of kinship to human beings is that of emotion. Elephants are capable of sadness, joy, love, jealousy, fury, grief, compassion, distress and rage. This why we don’t go to circuses with performing animals anymore. We discovered what life is really like for circus elephants we realized there’s no family fun to be had at an event that involves abusing and beating these majestic animals to make them entertain us for a few minutes. Instead we support the two elephant sanctuaries in the US. We can watch via a webcam elephants living in a natural setting The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee and PAWS in California. Your family can learn about the 25 elephants, many who are former circus elephants that have lived there since being rescued. After learning what goes on behind the scenes at circuses your family won’t want to go either. You Tube has dozens of videos of circus elephants being beaten to make them perform, many are of Ringling Bros trainers.
