I was weeding my flower bed and saw Addison off in the yard standing in an ant bed, frozen like she couldn't move. She never cried, but she was shaking with fear and breathless. I ran as fast as I could to swat them off of her. She had 17 bites. Thankfully there was no allergic reaction to so many, but they were brutal when they festered. Poor Addison! One thing about the south- it has fire ants and they have no mercy!
